The Exploranauts

The Exploranauts are scientist adventurers who can do anything, messing with dangerous forces they barely comprehend. Exploranauts are heroes who ask What's out there? and smile when Danger! shouts back.

They go exploring, fight weirdos, do crazy science stuff, make friends, and steal everyone’s tech. All in support of the alpha mission Fix all of it.

The Exploranauts: Super Scientists of the Unknown is a rules-lite science adventure game with rules outlining character creation, conflict resolution, and lab research.

A dozen 2d6 Tables flesh out a sci-fi adventure game world bounding with Rivals in the pursuit of Super Science Technology. 

Exploranaut // characters

• Stats: distilled into 3 bonuses. Roll 3d6. 
• Gear: grants abilities and power like a class in other RPGs. 
• CV: roll up some details about your past and your essence.

Exploranaut //  Action! roll

E-Nauts deploy the Action! roll in times of crisis to resolve certain conflicts. This is a simple formula: 

Action! roll ≥ Power Score = Success! 

Action! roll = 2d6 plus bonus points [stats & gear]
Power Score = challenge level & difficulty

Roll two six sided math rocks, add in bonuses for the relevant ability and any gear that helps out. Meet or beat the Power Score [PS] to achieve the desired outcome.
